FM GROUP INC has assisted many wireless carriers with the new build of both wireless sites and switching centers.


	Cell Sites Wireless carrier clients have selected FM GROUP INC to provide the design of 2G (second generation) infills, 3G (third generation) overlays, Liberty and UMTS for over 800 cell sites throughout Arizona and California. Our design services included regulatory compliance (code, zoning, and permitting), tower design and construction administration. Our wireless carrier clients included: NEXTEL, AT&T, U.S. WEST/QWEST WIRELESS, AND T-MOBILE.


	Switching Offices Wireless carrier clients have selected FM GROUP INC to assist in the build-out of switch equipment rooms and support facilities, including clean-room design, to increase the functionality of the existing switch and control room equipment. Our featured new build telecommunication projects include:
	Phoenix, AZ 15,915 square foot interior build-out including an electronic telephone switch equipment room, support facilities and an adjunct administration office area.


	<p> </p> <p> </p> Long Beach, CA 19,950 square foot adaptive reuse of an historic 1920’s industrial building including a 15,000 square feet electronic telephone switch equipment room. Design considerations included underground storage tank, zero lot clearance, seismic upgrades, handicap accessibility issues, a new elevation core, and an interior diesel generation room



	Mira Loma, CA A prototype “tandem” switch build-out for an international telecommunication company at their existing switch office in Riverside County. This experimental switch utilizes new generator switching equipment within a reduced building footprint.

Wireless carrier clients have selected FM GROUP INC to design co-location applications of wireless cell sites. Our co-location design and coordination experiences have included shared carrier sites with utility companies and our wireless carrier clients.

Stealth Towers,
Arizona

Wireless carrier clients have also selected FM GROUP INC to provide design of “stealth” applications of wireless cell sites. Stealth towers have become an integral component of the urban context, camouflaging these large telecommunication towers into its environment. Our “stealth” projects have included selective building modifications to the design of new site elements, blending towers into the existing building context.
